My Dad, My Hero

My dad's the ultimate hero.
He's a man's man with a sensitive heart.
He's humble with the brain of a genius.
He works tirelessly to make everyone's life better.
He's a spiritual giant that teaches me about Christ by example.
He taught me about love by his always adoring love for my mom.
He taught me about life by living it to the fullest.

  1. I have just received the news as to your diagnosis of cancer. At first I was shocked, but after reading your blog and talking to my parents my respect and admiration as to the incredible man that you are bishop has only grown. Your testimony in the face of this trial is a great testimony to me. I don't know who will receive this first but I hope you will read it. I want to tell you bishop, on a personal note, what a powerful influence you have been in my life. The many days I spent in your home causing trouble with john and then in your office with you as my bishop. Every time I look you in your eyes I see a man of God, I see a reflection of the savior in your countenance. You spoke to me a couple of weeks ago of having a voice as I finish school and enter into the professional world. I want to tell you what your voice has meant in my life as I struggled to overcome personal challenges in my life as a youth. I consider you a great friend and want you to know that you will be in my prayers. I just want to express my love for you and your family.
